Why is the use of multilayer bags increasing?

- Multilayer bags are resistant to air, moisture, light, and other destructive factors such as microorganisms due to their multiple layers, which helps extend the product’s shelf life. This is particularly important for aromatic and flavored products like tea, coffee, herbal teas, saffron, turmeric, and other spices, as it helps preserve their aroma and taste.

- Various zippered multilayer bags offer the convenience of resealing the packaging after opening. This feature is especially useful for products consumed in multiple stages, such as nuts, dried fruits, spices, tea, coffee, sweets, chocolate, dried dates, powders, and detergents, allowing consumers to reseal the package and store it in the fridge, freezer, or pantry without having to transfer the contents to another container.

- Stand-up multilayer bag designs, such as zippered stand-up bags, pouch boxes or flat-bottom bags, side gusset bags, and four-side-sealed stand-up bags, are more visually appealing on store shelves. Retailers appreciate the stability of these bags and the minimal space they occupy.

- Due to the high-quality and durable printing capabilities, multilayer bags offer excellent graphic and advertising impact, making them highly effective in attracting customers. This can contribute to higher sales in both domestic and export markets.

- Multilayer bags are more economical compared to cardboard and metal cans, PET plastic containers, glass, etc., due to their reasonable price and lower storage space requirements, providing cost savings for producers.

- Multilayer bags made with permitted polymer films, such as polyethylene and polypropylene, are easily approved for health and safety standards. These films are food-grade, meaning they can safely come into contact with food products, and are manufactured by certified industrial units with health certificates.
